According to an article in the November 2, 2006
Baltimore Sun, a city auditor's
report shows that between July 1,
2004 and June 30, 2005
the Mayor's Office of Cable and
Communications (MOCC) did not obtain
the proper financial records to verify that the
franchise fees owed by the cable companies to
the city, as specified in the cable franchise agreements, were
received.
