Opportunity, Promotion, and Enhancement Act of
2006, a federal bill backed by the telecom
industry, passed in the House Commerce Committee
42-12 and is being fast-tracked for a full House vote
as early as the week of May 8, 2006!
This overhaul of telecommunications law could be more
devastating to community interests then the
Telecommunications Act of 1996.
